So, the winner of the main nomination has been announced! South Korean director Bong Joon-ho's "Parasite" was named Best Picture. This is the first film not in English to win this category.<\/p>\n

His victory at the Oscars was not too obvious – the main favorites were such high-profile films as "1917", "Joker" (Joker) and "Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood". However, one should not be too surprised: the film "Parasite" was awarded the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and also received awards at the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and BAFTA awards.<\/p>\n

Parasite is about a family that lives in a basement and barely makes ends meet. However, thanks to their cunning, they by deceit get a job in the house of rich people, where they soon begin to live together, without telling employers about their family ties.<\/p>\n

The film "Parasite" today was presented in six categories and won four of them. I must say that the hall greeted the winners (and the whole cast and creators came on stage) with loud applause: all the guests got up from their seats and burst into applause.<\/p>\n
