Shopaholism: indications and contraindications
How nice it is to go shopping, buy yourself a lot of new interesting things, then come home, spend a few more hours to take a closer look at purchases and new clothes and ask the only question – why all this? Half of the purchased items can be carried back to the store, given away to friends or sold on various sites as unnecessary! This is what leads to an unbridled desire to buy everything and everything in its path. There is no need to talk about how much the family budget suffered at that moment.
This way of buying all sorts of goods is found almost all over the world, and the name for this kind of systematic behavior is shopaholism! It manifests itself in an unhealthy obsessive desire to buy everything that comes in the way. At critical moments of its manifestation, a person can simply squander all his savings and be left without a livelihood in the near future.
By its nature, shopaholism is similar to the psychological dependence on gambling, with the only difference being that it arises not on the basis of gambling interest, but because of a depressive state of mind. In a period of stress and a depressed mental state, a person, as a rule, is looking for a way to unwind, to please himself, even at a subconscious level.
For some, excessive consumption of sweets becomes such a joy, others indulge in unrestrained fun, others need relaxation in the form of shopping. Moreover, it is safe to say that sometimes such a shake-up through pleasant purchases is useful and necessary, but only as long as it does not turn into addiction. Therefore, it is not recommended to resort to this method of discharging too often. Indeed, in moments of depression and melancholy, the logical and practical side of thinking is completely absent, and, accordingly, it is not always possible to stop in time!
But, nevertheless, it is always nice to please yourself with something new and wonderful. Therefore, in order not to overdo it with such joys, before the next shopping it is always useful to make a list of necessary new things and not deviate from it, no matter how much you would like it when you see the most beautiful shop windows.
What if the purpose of the relationship is something unconditional for which both the man and the woman could take responsibility? What if this is… the practice of love? Love is what is within us; something for which we are responsible in both good and bad times. Love allows us to focus on our own efforts and responsibilities, as well as to notice the advantages of our partner. Too many people focus on taking something from the relationship. But, for a harmonious relationship, you need to give, take responsibility for your happiness, and then “invest" it in others.
