Director David O. Russell and Jennifer Lawrence "strongly became friends" while working on the film "My Boyfriend Is a Crazy", and after the young star received an Oscar, the director had no doubts that the cooperation should continue at all. Therefore, it is not surprising that Russell called her the lead role in his new film. And now information has appeared on the network that Christian Bale can become Lawrence’s partner.

The plot of the film "The End of the World" has nothing to do with natural disasters and catastrophes on a cosmic scale – here, rather, we will talk about a personal apocalypse. Written by Criss Theriault (Operation Argo is his work), the screenplay is based on the true story of oil tycoon Ernest Marland, who lost everything he could possibly lose when his secret affair with his own stepdaughter, Lydie, became known.

So, Jennifer will try on the image of a dissolute heiress, and Christian, accordingly, is offered the role of Marland. In addition, it is reported that the director is also considering Matt Damon, Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt as contenders for this role.
