The Old Guard is based on the comic book of the same name, published by Image Comics in February 2017. In the film, Charlize plays an immortal warrior who, along with her army of the same immortals from different eras, has been fighting evil for many centuries. At some point, the team learns about the existence of a new immortal, which awakens in each of the warriors an interest in life. At the same time, Charlize and the rest of the immortals are being hunted by an organization that has vast resources and wants to get the secret of endless life.

Apparently, it was for the sake of filming in The Old Guard that Charlize Theron made herself a short haircut last summer, and a little earlier she dyed her hair from blonde to brunette – in the frames from the new picture, the actress just appears with a dark short bean. By the way, now Charlize has already returned to the usual image of a blonde, before that she managed to star in another new film – the next part of the Fast and the Furious.
The exact date of the premiere of the film comic book "The Old Guard" with Charlize Theron in the title role is still unknown.
